Printing and branding / Pad printing
Pad printing is a printing process where a 2D image can be transferred onto a 3D object. To achieve this, we use an indirect offset printing process where the image is transferred to the substrate using a silicone pad.
The image is etched into a flat printing plate and ink is flooded across the surface, leaving ink in the etching. This technique can be used on a variety of surfaces such as flat, spherical, angled, textured or concave.
Pad printing is a great method for printing onto point of sale display objects as it is specially designed for printing onto difficult products.
