SuperGroup, parent company of fashion brand Superdry, has reported a total group sales increase of 66 per cent for the three months to 31 July.
The business shook off slow sales earlier in the year to see retail sales rise by 51 per cent to £34m, with all channels showing improvement, while total group sales equalled £54m.
Due to the international expansion of Superdry, which already has 62 UK outlets, wholesale sales increased by 98 per cent to £21m.
The group is planning to open more branches between now and Christmas, following an extension to its Covent Garden.
"We see continued growth across our business – in the UK, overseas and via our internet platform," said Julian Dunkerton, chief executive officer of Supergroup.
"Our domestic and international roll-outs are on track and we remain excited about the group’s future prospects. We are nevertheless operating in a difficult retail market, which reflects the macroeconomic environment."
