High street retailer Marks and Spencer is to employ Hollywood A-listers to promote its new autumn collection.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, the company has brought in Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds and English model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely. The pair will feature in a print campaign after being photographed at London's St Pancras Grand restaurant.
The retailer was criticised in some quarters for alienating some of its more mature customers by using younger celebrities such as Dannii Minogue and Myleene Klass to front its previous advertising campaigns in magazines, television and in its window displays.
M&S executive director Steve Sharp described the new signings as the "perfect fit".
He said: "Rosie and Ryan are the perfect fit for Autograph - beautiful, exclusive and absolutely contemporary.
"On set, they worked together to deliver a mesmerising performance which allowed us to capture shots that literally sizzle with excitement and an air of mystery."
