Doughnut brand Krispy Kreme is expanding its UK presence with the addition of three coffee bars, on top of its plans to double its UK doughnut outlets by 2016.
The new cafes will open in London and Bath in September; and Sheffield in October. The London and Sheffield branches will be located within the Westfield Stratford City and Meadowhall shopping centres, respectively.
The aim is to provide further opportunities for consumers to enjoy Krispy Kreme's sweet treats, including its signature glazed doughnut and more than 15 more complex varieties, including the Chocolate Dreamcake and Raspberry Glazed editions.
The range can already be found at more than 200 UK Tesco stores and in dedicated Krispy Kreme outlets in London, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Birmingham and Portsmouth.
"We’re committed to a growth strategy that will see us build a significantly greater presence both on the high street and out of town over the next four years," said Rob Hunt, joint managing director at Krispy Kreme.
Meadowhall centre director Darren Pearce said: "We’re really looking forward to the grand opening in October – and we’re confident that our shoppers are going to be just as excited!"
