Supermarket chain Waitrose will soon be offering fashion products to customers at its flagship store in Canary Wharf.
According to a report by Marketing Week, a new format store will open on the site in September, bringing together food, home and fashion goods.
Waitrose, which is owned by The John Lewis Partnership, would not say whether new fashion lines would be created for the supermarket, or if there would be a tie in with John Lewis department stores. An advertising campaign and in-store marketing using poster frames are sure to play a part in the launch.
A company spokesperson said: "Our Canary Wharf branch is undergoing a transformation. In September we’re going to unveil our exciting and innovative new shop bringing together a host of new ranges and features over three floors.
"We'll reveal more over the coming weeks, but we're certain it'll be worth the wait."
